We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled person to join a robust and forward thinking team.

Candidates will have their own transport and be willing to use this in their duties.

A child centred and flexible approach with a desire to meet the needs of the young people in our care is a must. We  would  particularly like to hear from people who may be interested in providing high needs supported lodgings.

The role includes evening and weekend working on a shift basis, with sleep in duties and occasional night work.
 
Applicants will have a relevant child care qualification at NVQ3 or above or be willing to work towards this.

This role is to become part of the No Wrong Door programme for residential care in North Yorkshire. Information on this can be found on NYCC website.

A knowledge of this service will be expected at interview. Experience in working with challenging behaviour and a working knowledge of relevant legislation is highly desirable. We would expect successful candidates to adopt our ethos of restorative practice and work therapeutically in their role.
